Suzanne M. Rosier passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Premier Health Center, after a courageous six years with Alzheimer’s.

Suzanne “Sue” was born March 12, 1952, in Washington, a daughter of the late William E. McClenathan and the late Betty Jean Blackhurst.

She was the beloved wife of David Rosier for 39 years. They made their home in West Alexander and attended the West Alexander Presbyterian Church. She was the loving mother of Aaron Rosier (Kelly) and Benjamin Rosier (Katherine); and the beloved grandmother of Jeremiah David, age four, and Gloria Lee, age one. Her sons and her grandchildren were her life’s greatest source of joy. Sue is also survived by her three devoted sisters, Pamela Ross, Kathleen Neal and Alice (Parker) Burroughs; as well as several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Douglas McClenathan, is deceased.

Sue graduated from Trinity High School in 1970. She worked at Brockway Glass for many years before becoming a stay-at-home mother. Sue worked at Cabela’s for several years until she retired at age 62. She was faithful to nurture and keep in order her simple yet blessed surroundings – a working husband and two energetic sons.

Sue’s favorite hobbies were doll collecting, gardening, cooking and photography. She was an excellent amateur photographer who had a few of her nature photos published in the Washington Observer-Reporter over the years. Sue had a very strong love for animals; she, with her family, lovingly cared for many household kitties and dogs. Her family rejoiced at each opportunity to taste one of her cooking specialties, such as beef stew, shepherd’s pie, cinnamon rolls or cherry pie. Sue’s life was an exemplary demonstration of faith, kindness, sharing, diligence, utility, discipline and most importantly, love.

Sue held fast her faith in God throughout life’s varied seasons. She was faithful to worship in a local church and carried out her life “looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”

At the request of the family, all services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323. 724- 663-7373, www.younfhinc.com.

In lieu of flowers, Sue’s family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org or to 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor #17, Chicago, IL 60601.
