Margaret Luella Tingler Salopek Baker, 87, of Weirton, W.Va., died Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

Born May 21, 1933, in Saint Mary’s, W.Va., Margaret and her twin sister were two of five children born to Harold and Hazel Fetty Garner.

Margaret was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking and her house was always spotless.

She enjoyed bowling and in her spare time, she loved working puzzles and puzzle books.

Most of all, Maggie will be remembered for her love for her family, her children and her grandchildren, who she loved to spoil, especially at Christmas. She will be sadly missed.

Maggie nourished her faith at the Tri-State Church of God in Weirton. Maggie was a good Christian woman who followed her faith daily.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, David Tingler; grandson Joseph Boyce; granddaughter Heather McLaughlin; sister Irene Monseau; brother Jim Garner; sons-in-law Charles Burnfield and Tim Frederick; and brother-in-law Leonard Starky.

She will be remembered with love by her husband, James Baker; her three daughters, Terri Lynn Boyce, Connie (Robert) McLaughlin and Darla Jo Frederick; brother Charles Garner; and twin sister Marcella Starky; grandchildren Sabin Boyce, Larissa Boyce, Logan Matthew McLaughlin, Jessica Ann Tingler, Shawn Michael Anderson, John Robert Anderson and Desiree Renee Anderson; and her great-grandchildren, Nichelle Feryanitz, Joseph Feryanitz, Calista Boyce, Brendon Boyce, Devyn Michael Anderson, Jaxon Xavier Anderson, Ezra Jenkins, Calib Anderson, Mariah Renee Anderson, Reagan Anderson, Jayden Sincere Anderson and Jeramiah Robert Anderson; and her great-great-grandson, Aidan Smith.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 19, in the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, W.Va. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, with Curt Moser as officiant.

Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
