Margaret L. Neuendorf
Margaret L. “Peggy” Neuendorf, 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, in her home, Tuesday, February 16, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
In life, Peggy was a “model”. She was born in Claysville, and was a “model child” to her mother, Blanche Gilmore (Ed) Wilson and stepbrothers, Ray and Sonny, whom have all preceded her in death. She was a “model granddaughter” to Jennie Antill Gilmore, who moved to Toledo from Claysville to help Peggy be a “model mom” to her daughters, Sandi (Keith) Fraker and Sherry Filby.
Peggy was a “model wife” to Robert “Bob” Neuendorf, who survives her. Bob and Peggy celebrated life together for 52 years and were “model grandparents” to Jenny (Sam) Angott. Being with Jenny always brought her such joy.
Peggy was a “model Christian” at Emmanuel Baptist Church for more than 40 years. She was a “model encourager” to her church, family and friends. The prayers and cards she sent throughout the years were innumerable. She loved reading historical novels, reading the Bible, and playing the piano.
Besides her beloved husband, daughters and granddaughter, surviving are cousins Robert (Gladys) Hunt and Clyde Gilmore, both of Claysville. Her “model friendships” were her dear friends, Marilyn and Joyce.
Peggy “modeled Christ” in all she did, even down to the song she wanted to be remembered by: “May All Who Come Behind Us Find Us Faithful”. Peggy was a “beautiful model”.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Family will be receiving guests from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of funeral services, Tuesday, February 23, in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 West Laskey Road, Toledo, OH 43623. Peggy will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
Arrangements were entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel (419-473-0300).
