Pauline M. Zerambo
Pauline M. Zerambo, 92, of Bentleyville, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born August 20, 1928, in Belle Vernon, a daughter of the late Steve N. and Mary Gersna Nonack Sr.
Mrs. Zerambo attended Somerset School.
A homemaker, Pauline was also co-owner and operator of Zerambo’s Service Station from 1947 to the present time.
She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville Campus.
Pauline enjoyed polkas, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
On June 28, 1947, she married Joseph G. Zerambo, who died December 10, 2010.
Surviving are four children, Joseph G. “JR” Zerambo (Mimi) of Bentleyville, Patricia “Patti” Chalfant (Gregory) of Perryopolis, Loretta Hooper Johnson of Bentleyville, and Karen Zerambo of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren, Brian and Matthew Chalfant, BethAnn Utz, Mike and Kristopher Hooper, Becky Kezmarsky and Nathaniel Kavakich; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Nonack of Bentleyville; two sisters, Irene Slavonia of Elco and Shirley Kaminski (George) of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son-in-law, Bob Johnson; seven siblings, Mildred Nonack, Nicholas “Nick” Nonack, Catherine Nonack, Elizabeth C. Nonack Glemba, Charles Nonack, Paul Nonack and Steve N. Nonack Jr.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, in Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where a prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 25, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville Campus, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. COVID-19 protocol will be observed including face coverings and social distancing.
