Catherine L. Gregg
Catherine L. “Kay” Gregg passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021.
Kay was a strong and independent woman who raised two children and was an inspiration to us all. She valued hard work, physical exercise, various crafts and cooking, and was an avid gardener, whose flowers were to be envied for miles around. She possessed an infectious laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. Most of all, she valued her family.
She was born in Pennsylvania to John and Catherine Sroka January 20, 1929.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings John (Stella), George (Martha), Elizabeth, Ronald (Debra) and Patty Day (Leroy).
She is survived by siblings Charles (Charlotte), Paul (Linda), Ted (Frances), Anna Sedora (Thomas), Julie Yarkosky (Ronald) and Dorothy Jacobs (Edward).
She is also survived by her children, John (Charlene) and Karen Higdon (Pete); grandchildren Somer Brady (Tom) and Pete Jeremy Higdon, Ryan Gregg (Jessica), Aleece Patten (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Kelli and Dominic Brady, Sloane and Brynn Gregg, and her newest addition Marley Kay Patten.
We will carry her spirit with us for all eternity and will miss her daily.
In lieu of flowers, the family would most appreciate donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
