Cheryl Ann Santoro
Cheryl Ann Santoro, 63, of Canonsburg, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born August 2, 1957, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late John C. and Josephine J. Ortuso Haines.
Cheryl was a 1975 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a lifelong resident of Canonsburg. She married her husband, Dennis Santoro, August 6, 1977. After having her first child Justin, Cheryl began working in childcare. She had a love for cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends, which she did every Sunday. Her home was always welcome to everyone. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her beloved cats, which at one time she had nine. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching movies with her granddaughter Raelyn. Cheryl was loving and caring and known to see the good in everyone.
She was a member of the St. Patrick worship site of St. Oscar Romero Parish.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Angela Powell and her husband EJ of Washington; sister-in-law, Denise Santoro of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Raelyn Santoro and Liam Powell; three brothers, Emory (Jessie), Dennis (Kimberly) and John (Ginger) Haines; sister, Kimberly Jo Haines; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is her husband, Dennis Santoro who passed away November 8, 2010; and her son, Justin Santoro who passed away September 18, 2011.
Friends and family are welcome from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. Friday, January 8, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
