Margaret J. Winter

Margaret J. Winter, 71, of Canonsburg, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born February 4, 1949, in Cameron, W.Va., where she lived until 1972. Margaret was the daughter of Foster and Mildred Knoop and the niece of Herbert and Faye Carmichael.
She was a 1967 graduate of Cameron High School and Penn Commercial in 1969.
Margaret worked as a financial analyst for General Refractories in Pittsburgh from 1974 to 1981 and had served as secretary at The Church of the Covenant and Fairhill Manor Christian Church, both in Washington, and Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. She was also the organist and choir and handbell director at Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church for 20 years.
On December 10, 1972, she married Jack W. Winter, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Alyson Bailey (Lou); three precious grandchildren, Gunther, Clare and Sonny Jack; and her dog, Ollie.
Due to present circumstances, all services are private.
