Landon Bradley Lester

Landon Bradley Lester, 5, of Aliquippa, gained his heavenly wings and joined the angels on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

He was born July 8, 2015, in Indiana. As an incredible blessing from the Lord, he made Bradley and Michelle Gottschalk Lester parents for the first time when he was adopted on May 18, 2018.

Landon was truly a gift from God. He had the most compassionate, loving, and caring personality of any child around. Landon absolutely loved Jesus. He looked forward to any opportunity to go church. Without a doubt, he is belting out the words to some of his favorite worship songs with Jesus right now. His laugh was just as infectious as his smile. Landon embraced everyone around him wholeheartedly with the best hugs and the sweetest words. He adored his brothers and sisters and welcomed each one of them into his family with open arms. He was incredibly smart and witty and took great pride in his schoolwork; he loved learning new things every day. Landon was an amazing little sport; he could bust a move anywhere and had amazing flexibility.

He loved basketball, helping Daddy coach, and the special attention from every girl on the team. He was super fast and enjoyed running with Mommy. Landon brought a light to his family and those around him wherever he went; a light that will continue to shine through his memory.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Michelle, and father, Bradley, of Aliquippa, maternal grandparents, Diana and William Gottschalk of Prosperity; paternal grandparents, Glenn Sr. and Brenda Lester, of Darlington; maternal great-grandmother, Marjorie Shape of Washington; paternal great-grandfather, James Lester of Beaver Falls, and Otto Gehley of Darlington; sisters, Justice, Aleah and Jovauna Lester; brothers, Josiah, Oryan and Dayton Lester, all at home; aunts, Marcy (Tony) Piatt, Megan and Marissa Gottschalk; uncles, Shawn (Alycia) Gottschalk, Shannon (Tricia) Gottschalk, Shane Gottschalk, Shea Gottschalk, Shalan (Chelsea) Gottschalk, Shad Gottschalk, Sheldon Gottschalk, Glenn (Allie) Lester Jr., and Daniel Luffy; and many amazing cousins and extended family. Preceding Landon in death was his aunt, Jennifer Luffy.

Friends and family are welcome from 5 p.m. until the time of a celebration of life service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, at Central Assembly of God, 155 McGovern Rd., Houston, PA. He will be laid to rest privately at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in New Brighton, PA
