Ronald James Gilpin
Ronald James Gilpin, 72, of Canonsburg passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at his home. He was born May 13, 1948, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Homer and Catherine Morgan Gilpin.
Ron lived most of his life in Canonsburg, living in Muse for a short time. He worked as a coal miner and as a cement finisher for Stockman and Kinskey, Inc.
Ron loved Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers and Penguins. He enjoyed gardening and yardwork, but most of all he cherished the time he spent with his three great-nephews Tino, Rocco and Nico.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 31 years, Linda Klinger Gilpin of Canonsburg; brother, Phillip Gilpin and his wife Nene of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Joseph and Hugh Gilpin.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
Private interment will be in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
