Thomas A. Conkey Jr.
Thomas A. Conkey Jr., of Washington, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born January 12, 1962, in Washington, a son of Thomas A. Conkey Sr. and Sara Jane Conkey.
He grew up in Claysville and graduated from McGuffey High School in 1980. After graduation, Tom’s career was devoted to floral design. His flower arrangements brought joy, happiness and comfort to countless people.
Tom attended the Vineyard Church of Wheeling, where he proclaimed to have been touched by the Holy Spirit on more than one occasion. He enjoyed the outdoors, the music of Dolly Parton, and the company of friends and family.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Karen Amos.
He is survived by his sisters, Betty Thompson and Debra Conklin; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends that loved him dearly.
