James E. Dillie

James “Jim” Edward Dillie, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in John Knox Village.
Jim was born September 27, 1939, to James Elmer and Anna Elizabeth Eagon Dillie in Washington.
He was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School. Jim entered the U.S. Air Force in 1961 and served until December of 1965.
Following his service to his country, Jim worked for RCA Television as a technician. He was a Girl Scout leader of Troop #537 in First Christian Church of North Kansas City. For several years Jim coached Little League baseball in North Kansas City. He was involved with the Vietnam Veterans Association, Lee’s Summit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen in 2002.
Survivors include two daughters, Michele (Shelly) Allen and husband Todd of Kansas City, Mo., and Rockele “Rocky” Hommes and husband Kyle of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; grandchildren Amanda Allen, Cody Allen, Kyle Ewart and Stephen Hommes; a brother, Greg Dillie and wife Patty of Washington; nieces Kim Dillie and Paula Acheson; and great-aunt Margaret Jean Maryanski of Washington.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
