Nancy Putorti Baumgardner
Nancy Putorti Baumgardner, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Monday, January 11, 2021.
She was born Nancy L. Swart February 14, 1942, in Goshen, Ind. to the late Dale W. and Dorothy Swart.
In 1991, she married her beloved husband, David M. Baumgardner, of Rostraver.
She was the mother of William (Janet) Putorti and Jeffrey (Deborah) Putorti; grandmother of Miranda and Angela Putorti; stepmother of Terri (James Hinda) Baumgardner, David (Sheri) Baumgardner, and Erin (Chet) Backowski; step-grandmother of Randi and Jamie Baumgardner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Gorham.
She was a 1960 graduate of Goshen High School and attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. She was a member of Psi lota Psi sorority, Philomathians in Goshon and First United Methodist Church. She had a special love for animals, especially cats, dogs and horses, that shared her life over the years. She was involved in charity work for many domestic animal and wildlife organizations during her lifetime.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3827 Washington Road, McMurray. There will be no services.
