Carolyn Maude Blayney
Carolyn Maude Blayney, 87, of Washington, died Thursday, January 14, 2021, in her home.
She was born December 27, 1933, in Washington, a daughter of the late Clifford and Faye Swart Magers.
Carolyn graduated from Washington High School in 1951 and worked many years in retail. She worked for Sears for 30 years and Target for seven years.
On June 20, 1953, Carolyn married William M. Blayney, who died March 8, 1995.
Surviving are sons Jeffrey C. Blayney of Daytona Beach, Fla., and William Blayney of Canonsburg; daughters Cynthia (Allen) Fish of Washington and Colleen (Robert) Dzurino of Lake Mary, Fla.; grandchildren Michael, Haley, Darcy, Zac, Kellie, William and Jackie; great-grandchildren Lucas and Nicholas; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Carolyn is predeceased by a half-sister Ruby Nuzum; and half-brother Harry Magers.
Carolyn attended Life Point Church of Washington and was a very active volunteer at Washington Christian Outreach. She was a former member of United Way Mental Health Board and volunteered many hours to various other local charities. She was an avid card player, bowler and Steelers fan, and loved animals of all kinds.
Carolyn’s hometown, friends and family were what made her heart full. Anyone who knew her will remember her kindness, her concern for others, and her uplifting spirit. She will be greatly missed by all. She always said she had a very blessed life.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all services are private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
