Renee Krusik Mancini

Renee Yvonne Krusik Mancini, known to her friends as “Wee Wee,” completed her earthly pilgrimage Saturday, January 16, 2021.

The youngest of 14 children, Renee was born July 19, 1931, to Johannes and Mary Gelderland Krusik, in Marianna.

Renee attended West Bethlehem High School.

On October 10, 1953, Renee married Rock Mancini. Together they raised five children, Zachary (Nancy) Mancini, Roxane (Robert) Wherry, Mario (Carole) Mancini, Anthony (Michelle) Mancini, Christine Mancini. Renee had five grandchildren, Rock Mancini, Julie (Cale) Grove, Zachary Mancini, Michael Mancini and Matthew Mancini; and three great-grandchildren.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents; 13 siblings; her husband, Rock; and her son, Zachary.

Renne’s siblings were Pauline Krusik, Ann Kruger, Mary Welsh, Dorothy Weis, Clare Downey, Frank Krusik, August Krusik, John Krusik, Martha Lund, Joseph Krusik, Val Haftmann and Alberta Kennedy.

Renee is survived by her four children, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Christian Mothers and the Order of Franciscan Seculars. She engaged in charitable work with Catholic Charities and Washington City Mission.

Renee was an advocate of respect for life from conception to natural death and organized groups to participate in the National Prayer Vigil for Life and the March for Life continually since the 1970s.

Renee loved God, loved to be in a good conversation and loved to dance.

A devout Roman Catholic, her rosary beads were always wrapped around her wrist, reminding her of her daily conversations and personal relationship with God.

Religious services will begin with a visitation from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday as family will be received in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 25, in St James Catholic Parish (Immaculate Conception Church) Washington. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis House (genesispgh.org).
