Theresa J. “Joan” Pattison, 82, of Washington, died Monday, January 18, 2021, in the Donnell House.

She was born July 10, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Julian Comfort.

Joan was a 1956 graduate of Trinity High School.

She worked as a seamstress at her parent’s business, Comfort’s Cleaners, where she manned the front counter and enjoyed talking to all of the customers.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time watching her grandchildren play ball and spending time with her family. In recent years she enjoyed socializing with friends she made at Strabane Trails.

On September 1, 1956, in Washington, she married the love of her life, Howard R. Pattison, who died March 29, 2015.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa J. Clore and Sheila J. Cowieson, both of Washington; a sister, Shirley Behanna of Livermore, Calif.; three grandchildren, Korene (Bryon) Sibert, Jarred Clore and Graham H. (Alexis) Cowieson; two great-grandchildren, Reilly and Reagan Sibert; two sisters-in-law, Ruth McCurry and Betty Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a son-in-law, Fred Clore.
