Thomas Albert Tedrow, 80, a resident of Parsons, W.Va., passed peacefully from this life Tuesday, January 19, 2021, in his son’s home in Waynesburg.
Thomas was born Sunday, October 20, 1940, in Waynesburg, a son of the late William Morris Tedrow and Mable Marie Kenney Tedrow. He was twice married, first to Doris Jean Keller and then to Helen Francis Harsh Swisher, who preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Thomas William Tedrow and wife Kelly of Waynesburg, and Mark Lynn Tedrow and wife Marsie of Punxsutawney; one stepdaughter, Regina Swisher; eight grandchildren, Richard Dale Young, Kyle Tedrow, Kaddi Tedrow, Nathan Albert Alan Corey, Kaci Tedrow, Lacole Tedrow, Samantha Rutun and Shawn Tedrow; seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, besides his parents and wife, was one daughter, Carol Sue Corey; and one stepson, Steve Swisher.
Thomas attended West Greene High School in Rogersville. For 46 years, he was employed in asbestos construction and drove charter buses. He enjoyed camping and traveling, having traveled to ever state except Hawaii.
Services will be private and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Thomas’ name to the Tucker County Senior Center.
