Laura Teresa Fanase, 86, of Burgettstown, died Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Cottingham Hospice House. Born in Burgettstown, she was the widow of Anthony Fanase and a daughter of the late Vincent and Erminia Boccabella.
She was a 1952 graduate of Hickory High School and later retired from Superior Valve Co. She loved spending time with friends and reading about the history of Pennsylvania and the U.S., mostly about indians and the Italians place in history. She was also a mystery book fan and loved sightseeing lighthouses, caves and museums.
Surviving are her niece, Gloria Holladay of Norris, S.C.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael A. Fanase; her sister, Clara Sarish; and her brother, Edwin Boccabella.
