John Dalton Bennett
John Dalton Bennett, 78, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in Washington Hospital.
He was born January 30, 1943, in Prosperity, a son of the late Arthur Murray and Marie Florence Lindley Bennett.
John graduated from Washington High School and retired as a heavy equipment operator, with Operating Engineers Local 66.
He loved being outdoors, gardening, browsing the farmers market, and walking his dogs, Daisy and Lulu.
John attended the First Baptist Church.
On August 31, 1963, John married Karen Lee Amos, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Christopher John (Krissy) Bennett; a daughter, Leslie Jo Bennett; brothers Hugh (Frances) Bennett, Thomas (Sue) Bennett, Fred Bennett; sisters Dale Bennett and Nancy (George) Barnhart; and grandchildren Aaron Dalton (Courtnie) Bennett, Kaylee Elizabeth Bennett, Kierstin Marie Bennett and Christopher Thomas Bennett.
John was preceded in death by sisters Thelma Bennett and Karen Bennett.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. time of service Saturday, June 5, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, with the Rev. Adam Wolf officiating.
