Ruth Elizabeth Hampe
Ruth Elizabeth Hampe, 87, of Washington, died Monday, May 31, 2021, in Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born October 19, 1933, in Cross Creek, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Stacey Huber.
Ruth graduated from Mt. Pleasant Township High School in Hickory and worked for Ace Reconditioners as an office manager.
She loved the outdoors, especially the mountains and the beach. She loved to garden and spend time with friends and family. Her grandchildren and great-grandson were very special to her.
She was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church.
On November 7, 1953, Ruth married Donald Hampe, who died in December 2004.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cindy (Frank) Riggle of Washington; a sister, Maryann Palumbo of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Ashley (Heath) Georgetti and Kelley Riggle; great-grandson Deegan Matthew Georgetti; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by a brother, William Huber; and a sister, Edith Stimpson.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m., the time of service, Friday, June 4, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
