Donald McKnight
Donald “Red” McKnight, 86, of Washington, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Born November 13, 1934, he was a son of the late Thelma and James McKnight.
He was the beloved husband to Delores McKnight for 62 years; loving father to Bruce McKnight, Kimberly (Jim Wright) McKnight, Brian McKnight and Lisa (Scott) Staso; cherished Pap to Skyler (Lyndsey Mattison) Duchess, McKenna (Daniel Kusner) Duchess, and Nathan and Nicholas Staso; dear great-grandfather to Zander Duchess and Zayden Duchess; loving brother to Roy McKnight.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Cannon.
Donald proudly served in the United States Army from 1954-1957 during the Korean War.
He was vice president of the West End Neighborhood Watch, where he was known as the “Mayor.” Donald worked as the assistant vice president at Robinson Pipe Cleaning for his entire career. He also enjoyed tinkering with his El Camino, doing puzzle books, and watching “Family Feud” and “Impractical Jokers.” Donald loved walking, especially at the mall, where he made many friends and most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
A private memorial service will be held at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
