Catherine Ann August
Catherine Ann August, 72, of McMurray, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, after a battle of many years with Parkinson’s Disease.
She was the beloved wife of 50 years to David H August; loving mother of Amy (Steve) Horn and Brad (Sara) August; proud grandmother of five, the loves of her life, Kimberly, Laura, Jonny, and Garrett Horn of Reading, and Lily August of Lansing, Kans. She was the loving sister of four brothers, Jack, Chuck, Tom and Ernie Emmerling; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cherished friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Alice Auth Emmerling; and sister Judith Probert Palm.
Catherine’s hobbies included golf, sewing and going to the theater. She spent her time going on sailing trips and reading; and was a member of three book clubs.
Arrangements by Beinhauer. Friends and family are welcome at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, in St. John XXIII Parish, St. Benedict the Abbott, 120 Abington Drive, McMurray, PA 15317, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
