With overwhelming sadness, we must say our loving brother has died. John Kevin Engel, 61, formerly of Taylorstown, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in the home of his sister, Susan, in Pittsburgh. Born March 4, 1960, he was a son of the late Herman J. Engel Jr. and Martha J Braddock.

John was a Presbyterian. John had many jobs over his lifetime. He worked for Canonsburg Feed Mill, Chapman Corp. He drove a truck, worked in the construction business and automobile transportation.

His loving sisters, who survive him, are Karen (Mark) O’Leary and Susan (Terry) Willis; nieces and nephews Mary O’Leary, John O’Leary, Aaron O’Leary, Amanda Stearns and Scott Willis; great-nieces and nephews Cameron O’Leary, A.J. O’Leary, Makaylee Stearns, Kaleb Stearns, Zackary Stearns, Barrett Willis and Zoey Willis. John had two faithful dogs, Chico and Rosaletta.

John received excellent care from Concordia Hospice of Washington, especially Brandon and Devin. Their respect for John and his family provided so much support.

All services will be private.
