John L. Kosky Jr.
John L. Kosky Jr., 94, of South Fayette Township, passed peacefully Monday, June 21, 2021. He was born April 7, 1927, in Washington, a son of John L. and Wilma Kuritain Kosky Sr.
On November 10, 1951, he married Madeline Moore, who survives.
Mr. Kosky was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and owner of John Kosky Contracting. He was a member and past president of the Serra Club and Holy Name Society. He was named Bridgeville Area Chamber of Commerce “Man of the Year” in 1996.
Surviving along with his wife are three children, Marsha (the late Andrew) Schwab, John Alan (Stacy) Kosky and Lynn (John) Janocha; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Anthony and Brandon Schwab, Emily Janocha, Maggie Kosky, Mary (Roy) Rothenberger and John Michael (Mataya) Kosky; and a brother, Michael (Janet) Kosky.
Deceased are five siblings, Marion (John) Markovich, James Kosky, Eileen Kosky, Maxine Lherbier and her husband, Louis, who survives, and Ronald Kosky and his wife, Joyce, who survives.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, in St. Mary Church of Corpus Christi Parish. Internment with military honors to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Serra Club or Corpus Christi Parish.
