Thresa Horvath
Thresa Horvath, 90, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
She was born December 6, 1930, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Ignatius and Anna Vininsky Taper.
Mrs. Horvath was Catholic and a member of St. Hilary Church in Washington for many years.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking and spending time with her sisters.
Her husband, John F. Horvath, passed away December 14, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Robert J. Horvath (Joanie) of Findlay, Ohio, and Alan R. Horvath of Pensacola, Fla.; a granddaughter, Crystal Schimmoeller (Jason); and her great-grandchildren, Pyper, Marlissa, Zoie, Mackenzie and Ethan. Also surviving are sisters Margaret Urbas, Nancy (Carl) Andree and Janet (Richard) Andree; and brothers James (Rose) Taper, Joseph (Julie) Taper and Anthony Taper; cousins Frank and Richard Jakubetz; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Horvath was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Taper; and brothers Edward (Joan) Taper, John (Janice) Taper and Theodore (Lorraine) Taper.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, in St. Hilary Church, 320 Henderson Avenue, Washington. Entombment will follow in Mary Mother of the Church Mausoleum in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
