Donald Lee
Donald “Skippy” Lee, of Canonsburg, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was born June 6, 1945, in Pittsburgh, a son of Frank and Marguerite Davis Lee.
He was a member of Local #3 Iron Workers and a former real estate agent for Cuneo and Associates. In 2002, he retired from Columbia Gas.
On June 25, 1987, he married his wife of 33 years, Anna Marie Foglia Lee, who survives him. Also surviving are his three daughters, Dawn Gibson and Dee Dee Gibson, both of Pittsburgh, Carmen Grinage of Imperial; and his son, Blayne Lee of Canonsburg.
Skippy was an avid prankster, enjoying playing practical jokes on those he cherished most, especially his wife. He was an avid storyteller as well and loved to tell his family and closest friends of his escapades through out his life. One of his many passions was football, and he was an ardent Steelers fan, never missing a single game. Donald loved animals, especially his dog, Wesley. He was among the first African Americans in the Greater Pittsburgh area to become a real estate agent as well as a journeyman ironworker. Skippy was a loving husband and father always placing his family before himself. He lived his life only knowing love and joy for those he cared most deeply about and will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, the deceased asked that donations be sent to the Donnell House of Washington, or local animal shelters.
