Emma Jean Horwatt, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, in her home, Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was born July 4 (“a fire cracker”), a daughter of the late Samuel and Harriet Oliverio.

She was the wife of the late William Horwatt.

Emma was employed for many years at the RCA Company (Tac Tech), Giant Eagle and Food Gallery. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She loved people and animals and tried to make people laugh. She asked to be remembered by her kindness and friendship to many and if she made you laugh or smile along the way.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted sister, Debby Oliverio, with whom she made her home; and her pets, Casey and Belle. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.

Emma wanted to give a special thank you to the hospice nurses and staff, especially Devin, Shannon and Joyce, who were so kind and gave great support to her and Debby.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, Lucille Leffer and Kathryn “Kelly” Donella; and brothers John and Sam.

At the request of Emma and due to COVID, there will be no viewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
