Harriet Amy Waddell, 84, of Avella, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

She was the adored wife of the late Russell Waddell for 63 years; beloved mother of three sons, Arnold (Josephine) Webster of Avella, David (Darlene) Waddell of Maui, and Curtis (Patricia) Waddell of Avella; treasured grandmother of nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; and dear sister of the late Ruth Webster.

To all who knew her, she was a kind-hearted spitfire of a woman, unabashedly and unapologetically herself, louder than a foghorn, and sweeter than sugar. She was respected and loved by all who met her.

She retired after a long career as an LPN from Mayview State Hospital. She was a devout member of Friendship Community Church. She enjoyed fishing, flea markets, time spent swinging on her porch, spending time with her family, and being able to share it all with the man who stole her heart.

There will be no public viewing or services.
