She was a 1953 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 1956 graduate or the Washington Hospital School of Nursing.

On June 30, 1956, she married Joseph J. Tworzydlo, who died October 5, 1995.

Helen Marie was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, formerly St. Agnes, since her marriage. In addition, she was a non-firefighting member of the Richeyville Volunteer Fire Department. As a member of both, she tirelessly worked their fish fries and fundraisers. She also volunteered at the Beth Center Food Pantry of Washington County Food Bank. For many years she was an elected poll worker for Centerville Borough Ward 4 elections.

Due to COVID-19, all services were private and under the direction of the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville. Interment was in Beallsville Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In keeping with her most nurturing and compassionate nature, she asked: “If by chance you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you.” – Robert N. Test.
