Mark Clipper
Mark Clipper, 98, of Carmichaels, died Sunday, March 7, 2021.
He was born February 19, 1923, in Ontario, a son of the late Pete and Sophia Pepisich Clipper.
Mark was a 1939 graduate of Jefferson High School.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Mark was an interior decorator and furniture salesman for many years at Gross’s Furniture Store in Fredericktown and a former tax collector.
He was Protestant by faith and a former member of Hewitt Presbyterian Church, Rices Landing.
Mark was a member of Hanson-Cole American Legion Post #391, Fredericktown, the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On December 26, 1942, he married Genevieve Kelly, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Gerald Lee (Barb) Clipper of St. Augustine, Fla., Sherre (Marshall) Weeks of Tucson, Ariz., Deborah Sue Ely of Clarksville, Kerry (Christine) Clipper of Rices Landing, Trina (Les) Siebert of Jefferson; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Mark Wayne Clipper.
With following CDC guidelines of wearing masks and social distancing, friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, with Pastor David McElroy officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson.
