Terry K. “Pops” Foster Sr., 66, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly, Sunday, March 14, 2021, in his home. He was born June 18, 1954, in New Eagle, the son of Harvey Theodore and Margaret Susan Hoffman Foster Sr.
Terry was a 1973 graduate of Ringgold High School, Monongahela Division. He retired from the Monongahela Valley Hospital with 35 years of employment and was a former member of both the Monongahela and New Eagle Volunteer Fire Departments. Terry loved fishing, sports (especially his Pittsburgh teams), karaoke and was an accomplished pool player. He was extremely proud of his Monongahela roots, having been born, raised and where he passed. A true son of Monongahela.
He is survived by two sons, Terry (Sandra) Foster Jr. of Speers, Timothy (Jennifer) Foster of Belle Vernon; daughter, Kerrianne (Joseph) Donovan of Courtney; former wife and beloved friend, Nancy (Jay) McMurdy of Beaver Falls; five grandchildren, Martin, Ashleigh, Abigail and Elizabeth Foster and Zachary Donovan; two brothers, Joe (Connie) Foster of Zion, Illinois, Robert (Judy) Foster of Monongahela; sister, Sally Guydan of Ocala, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends that share our loss.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Teddy Jr., Harry, Eddie “Yuk”, twin Jerry, Frank and James Foster; and his sister, Peggy Kite.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 18, in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 19, with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Inurnment will be in the Monongahela Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
