Michael Donald Teets
Michael Donald Teets, 43, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021, in his home in Onancock, Va. Born May 26, 1977, in Uniontown, he was a son of Catherine Conard Teets of Carlsbad, N.M., and the late Glenn C. Teets.
Michael was a graduate of Ringgold High School in Monongahela and received his bachelor’s degree from Alderson Broaddus in Philippi, W.Va.
In his 43 years of life, Michael impacted the lives of countless people of all ages. As an educator for Accomack County Public Schools, he was adored by his students, as well as his colleagues.
His musical talents were limitless, a gift he selflessly shared with others. Always striving to better himself, Michael recently received his master’s degree from the University of Virginia.
Whether you called him Michael or Mr. Teets, he would want everyone to celebrate his life through appreciating the importance of music and kindness to others.
In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his brothers, Glenn C. Teets II (Jenny) and Timothy Teets (Kristy); aunts Cathy Nedrow (Bill) and Ruth Kelly (Ray); great-aunts Helen Trotta and Isabelle Miller; and cousins Naomi Nedrow, Sarah Rogers, and Adam and Cameron Kelly.
In addition to his father, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Johnathan Edward Teets; grandparents Hampton and Gladys Teets, and Earl and Mary Conard; and aunt Connie Katz.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Michael’s life at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, in First Baptist Church of Monongahela, where he was baptized and was a longtime member.
