Joseph A. Nesto, 91, of Rices Landing, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021.
He was born April 23, 1929, in Clarksville, a son of the late George and Annie Nesto.
Mr. Nesto was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a Golden Glove boxer making it all the way to the Olympic Trials.
Joseph was employed with Baltimore Life as director of agencies for more than 40 years retiring in 1993.
He was an avid fisherman and coin collector.
Mr. Nesto will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are two children, Tim Nesto of Charlotte, N.C., and Shelby Nesto of Daisytown; eight grandchildren; along with several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife, Violet Nesto, who died February 24, 2009; two sons, Joseph A. Nesto Jr. and Richard G. Nesto; a brother, George Nesto; four sisters, Loretta Tosi, Ellen Chulick, Josephine and Caroline.
A private blessing service was held Friday, March 26, in Greenlee’s Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd., Fredericktown, with the Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating. Interment was in Greene County Memorial Park.
