James R. Bissett Jr.
James R. Bissett Jr., 77, of Niles, Ohio, passed away at 3:52 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021. He was born March 7, 1944, in Washington, the son of James and Violet Schultz Bissett Sr.
He was a 1962 graduate of Trinity High School, employed at General Motors Lordstown for 35 years, retiring in 2001.
After retirement, his greatest joys were meeting his buddies at the mall, playing the lottery, working in the garden and cheering for the Steelers.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Sue Raytek Bissett; his two daughters, Renee Bissett of Akron, Ohio and Jennifer Bissett (Peter Johannesson); his two grandsons, Oliver and Oskar of Lund, Sweden; and his sister, Mary Jane Mangini of Burgettstown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Violet Johnson, Betty Crites and Becky Moss.
Cremation will take place. Due to the pandemic, there are no services at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
