On Monday, May 3, 2021, Shirley M. Smith, 69, of Claysville, formerly of the South Hills, passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of Butch L. Smith for 47 years; loving mother of Holly (Greg) Peiritsh and Heather (Brian) Spargur; cherished grandmother of Gabby, Jocelyn and Jacob Peiritsh, Autumn, Taylor and Amanda Spargur; sister of Edward Frank Jr. and Rob Frank; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a graduate of Bethel Park High School and a real estate agent in the South Hills for 35 years, who later in life, along with husband Butch, ran the Montgomery Mansion Bed and Breakfast in Claysville.
Shirley’s life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was a doting mother and grandmother, whose adoring family was the center of her universe.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 6, in the Griffith Funeral Home, Inc., 5636 Brownsville Road (at 6th Street), South Park Township, (412) 655-4600, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 7.
