Theodore H. Chicora

Theodore H. “Ted” Chicora, 81, of Finleyville, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in the Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing.

He was born February 20, 1940, in Washington, a son of the late John and Lulu Jane Woods Chicora.

Mr. Chicora was a graduate of Trinity High School.

He was employed as a mechanic with Bethlehem Mines retiring with more than 20 years of service. He also worked building the U.S. Steel building in Pittsburgh.

Ted was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 164 Washington.

He was an avid biker who dearly loved riding his Harley until his late 70’s and enjoyed playing Santa Claus for many years. He especially loved his kitty, Gus that misses him dearly.

Surviving are two stepdaughters, Carrie L. Karolcik (Thomas) and Lisa Hollingsworth, both of Finleyville; two sons, Michael Chicora (Wendy) of Pittsburgh and Ted Chicora of California; two daughters, Michelle Ruffalo of Arizona and Sandy Ann Clarey of California.

Deceased is his wife, Sonia Watsula Chicora. They were together for 49 years.

All funeral services and interment are private and under the direction of the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville.
