Edna Pettit Phillips, 89, formerly of Spraggs, died Monday, May 10, 2021, in the Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 31, 1932, in Center Township, Geene County (Rutan), a daughter of the late Floyd Randolph and Millis Mae Hull Pettit.
Mrs. Phillips worked as a clerk and cashier at the former G. C. Murphy Co. store in Waynesburg. She formerly attended the Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are three brothers, Noel Pettie, Austin Lemoyne Pettit and Monty Blair Pettit; and one sister, Wilda Litten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reason Phillips; four brothers, Alvin Pettit, Elwood Pettit, Melvin Pettit and Donald Pettit; and one sister, Izola Shultz.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, W.Va., from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 13. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 14. Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
