George A. Wakulik Jr.
George A. Wakulik Jr., 72, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, May 8, 2021, in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born June 30, 1948, in upstate New York, to the late George and Italia “Dolly” Wakulik.
He graduated from Rome Academy in 1966. He attended college for two years.
On September 20, 1969, he married Teri Anne, who died December 10, 2002.
George worked for AT&T and then Verizon, from which he retired in 2013.
He loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of Bethel Park Outdoorsman Club and Dormont-Mount Lebanon Sportsmens Club.
He is survived by his sons, George (Melissa) of South Park, Chris (Kelly) of South Carolina and Matt of Pittsburgh; and three granddaughters, with another due in July. He is also survived by Georgeann (John) Owens of Tennessee, Mary (Gerry) of New York and Mark (Rochelle) of North Carolina.
He was a member of St. James Parish Immaculate Conception Church in Washington. George loved his Lord and was a devout Catholic.
He is also survived by Linda M. Wilson, his faithful companion of 16 years, and Linda’s two granddaughters and one grandson. Linda said he was the love of her life. He had many friends, especially the neighbors from Canonsburg.

Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 14, in Beinhauer-Bogan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15 in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Officiating is Father Michael Peck. Interment will immediately follow at Woodruff Memorial Park, Route 19.
