Brian C. Fairbank

Brian C. Fairbank, 62, of Meadow Lands, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in the Washington Hospital.

He was born August 15, 1958, in Johnstown, a son of Charles B. Fairbank of Johnstown and the late Nancy Ream Fairbank.

Mr. Fairbank was a 1976 graduate of Richland High School in Johnstown.

He was employed for many years at the NAPA store in Canonsburg and worked for Myzak Hydraulics in Houston.

He was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church.

Brian had been active in the Boy Scouts. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed canoeing, hiking and fishing.

An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, he followed the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.

Surviving, in addition to his father, are a daughter, Beth A. Fairbank of Meadow Lands; a brother, Roger Fairbank (Alane) of Irwin; a sister, Kathy Reitz (Tony Grimsley) of Grottoes, Va.; two nieces and a nephew.

A brother, James A. Fairbank, is deceased.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 16, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 17. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations by made to the funeral home in Brian’s name.
