Alma May Collin Blackburn, 86, of Fallowfield Township, was welcomed into the Heavenly Kingdom of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, May 8, 2021.
She was born October 4, 1934, in Monongahela, a daughter of David Roland Collin and Harriett Gratton Collin.
On August 19, 1966, Alma married the late Clarence “Bunny” Blackburn.
She was a former member of the Black Diamond Mission in Monongahela, First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, First Baptist Church of Bentleyville, and was a current member of Garwood Southern Baptist Church, Daisytown.
Alma was a member of the Eastern Star organization, former Pioneer Club of Bentleyville, and former member of Bentleyville Lioness Club. She was a very involved reunion committee member of the Monongahela Class of 1952.
She was co-owner, along with her husband, of Clarence Blackburn General Hauling and Sanitary Landfill and Clarence Blackburn Enterprises, Inc. She was very active as a realtor for many years. She and her husband formerly owned and operated a small mobile home court in Fallowfield Township.
Surviving are brothers-in-law Richard Blackburn (Shirleen) of O’Fallon, Ill., and Martin Uher of Fallowfield Township; her children, Jeffrey Blackburn (Rabara) of Daisytown, Barbara Herman (James) of Bentleyville, Janie Southworth (Joseph) of Finleyville and Russell H Blackburn II (Julie) of Monongahela; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nephews Theodore Madden (Pam) of Virginia and Dr. Robert Daniel Collin of New Jersey.
Deceased are sister Gladys Madden and husband Ted; brother Robert Collin and wife Olga; sister-in-law Lorraine Uher; and granddaughter Darcie Leanne Herman.
Final arrangements will be private and handled by the family.
