Beverley Kay Fox

Beverley Kay Fox, 65, of Washington, died Monday, May 10, 2021 in her home.

She was born September 15, 1955, a daughter of Donald L. Smith and the late, Freda B. Thomas Smith.

She was a 1973 graduate of Trinity High School. She worked at the Observer Reporter for over 40 years, before retiring, as a Photography Secretary. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, and enjoyed attending church activities. Beverley was a very caring person who loved helping others and would do anything she could for anyone. She loved riding motorcycles with her husband, going to Big Jim’s Roadhouse to eat with the Saturday Night Gang, as well as going to lunch with her Observer Reporter girls group.

On March 25, 1992 she married John Fox, with whom she has shared almost 30 years of marriage. Also surviving, in addition to her husband John, and father Donald Smith, are three sisters, Jean Smith (Bill Hart), Anna J. Westfall (Thomas), Eleanor Smith (Larry Day); a brother Harold Smith (Amy); special Aunt, Leanna Shaffer; nieces and nephews, Crystal Noecker, Paul Westfall (Abby Jo), Elizabeth Smith (Devon Angle), Luke Smith; and a great niece, Aspen; as well as several cousins.

Deceased in addition to her mother Freda Smith, is a brother, Ronald Smith.

Private funeral services were held and handled by Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301.
