Eva Simpson Grim
Eva Simpson Grim was born May 5, 1928 in Waynesburg. She passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the age of 93.
Eva’s parents were Frederic Wheeler Simpson and Sarah Elms Simpson. She graduated with honors from Waynesburg High School 75 years ago.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth; plus a host of nieces and nephews.
She married Harold Grim, a New Freeport native, and they had five children. She was the mother of Thomas (Fawn King), Ellen Grim Abernathy (Johnny) and Brian (Kerri Oman). She was also the mother of the late Larry and Cathie Grim Heveran. Her grandchildren are Aaron Grim, Sara Abernathy, Michael Abernathy, Nicholas Grim, Chelsea and Michael Heveran, Corey Abernathy, and Matthew and Samantha Grim. She had three great-grandchildren, Arlo, Iris and Allison.
She and Harold had a candy business, Grim’s Candies, and they brought old fashioned fudge and chocolates to various events in New York and Pennsylvania. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and doing puzzles…and dessert!
Services will be private and are under the arrangement of Amigone Funeral Home.
