Richard P. “Dick” Naser, 91, of Washington, died Tuesday, May 18, 2021, peacefully, after an extended illness.

He was born September 27, 1929, in Washington, a son of the late Leonard P. Naser and Wilma Walker Naser of Hickory.

Mr. Naser attended Chartiers High School and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He often spoke fondly of his experience in the Navy and was proud of serving his country.

He worked for Washington Steel for 26 years, retiring in 1995. Prior to working in the steel mill, he made ice cream and dairy deliveries throughout the tri-state area for Fairmont Dairy.

Mr. Naser was a member of the First Christian Church and a lifetime member of North Franklin Fire Department, serving in many capacities through the years.

He married Marie Hatfield, who survives, October 6, 1956. Married almost 65 years, he enjoyed time spent with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Also surviving are a daughter, Donna (Anthony) Cillo of Mt. Lebanon; three grandchildren, Anthony R. (Annie) Cillo, Amanda Cillo and Audrey Cillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Dan Naser.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 23, in William G. Neal Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 24. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
