Samuel Matthew Openbrier

Samuel Matthew Openbrier, infant son of Matthew and Andrea Ratajack Openbrier, went to be with Jesus, Monday, May 17, 2021, in UPMC Children’s Hospital, Pittsburgh, in his parent’s arms.

He was born September 29, 2020, in West Penn Hospital, with his twin sister, Sara. Although Sara was able to go home, Samuel’s condition required his continued hospitalization in Children’s Hospital where he was visited daily by his parents.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his sister, Sara; paternal grandfather, Terry Ardeno (Brandie) of Cecil; paternal grandmother, Darla Openbrier of Canonsburg; maternal grandparents, Charles and Maureen Davis Ratajack of Bridgeville; paternal great-grandmothers, Patricia Openbrier of Meadow Lands and Patricia Lebder of Uniontown; paternal great grandfather, Michael Ardeno of Washington; and maternal great-grandfather, Edward Ratajack of Carnegie; an aunt, Amy Openbrier of Washington; an uncle, Stephen Ratajack of Bridgeville; and many great aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

Deceased are paternal great-grandfather, Anthony Lebder; maternal great-grandmother, Charlotte Ratajack; and maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Charlotte Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 24, in Central Assembly of God Church, 155 McGovern Road, Houston, PA 15342. Interment will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.
