Gladys Romaine Crowe Morris
Gladys Romaine Crowe Morris, 86, of Washington, formerly of Claysville, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
She was born November 9, 1934, a daughter of the late James Henry and Georgia Emma Fields Crowe.
Gladys was a 1954 graduate of Claysville High School and she attended The First Christian Church in West Alexander. Gladys enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. She would light up when they entered the room.
Gladys is survived by four children, Dolores (Larry) Dorsey of Claysville, Cliff Crowe of Washington, Debbie (Scott) Bres of McDonald and Matthew Morris of Washington; grandchildren Jared (Ashleigh) Dorsey of Washington, Tera (Sam) Washabaugh of Canonsburg, Makayla Bres and Travis Bres of McDonald; and great-grandchildren Kennedy and Connor Washabaugh, and Skylar Dorsey; and her beloved niece, Jackie Jones, who always kept her laughing.
Gladys is also survived by siblings Ruth (Jerry) Shiver, Bob (Vickie) Crowe, Allan (Robin) Crowe, Richard (Flor) Crowe, Tom (Jackie) Crowe, Ruby Marquez, Millie Corbly; sister-in-law Janelle Crowe; brother-in-law Bob Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by siblings Chuck Crowe, Melvin Crowe, Wilma Plants, Alice (Tom) Wood, Virginia (Bob) White, Esther Nelson and Martha (Bob) Rizor; and brothers-in-law Frank Marquez and Bill Corbly.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, in honor of Gladys’ daughters. (Mail checks made out to American Cancer Society to Team Fairmount Believers, 36 Pine Road, Claysville, PA 15323).
