Walter Budash

Walter “Woogie” Budash, 64, of Bulger, formerly of Atlasburg, passed away peacefully, May 26, 2021, knowing how much he was loved by his family and friends.

He was born May 27, 1956, a son of the late Walter and Alice Jeswilkowski Budash.

Woogie was a graduate of Burgettstown High School and a member of the Cherry Valley Sportsman’s Club and the Raccoon Valley Sportsman’s Club.

Woogie was known for his friendly smile, good heart and his ability to tell a joke and keep everyone laughing. He loved to play cards, play the lottery and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

Surviving are sisters, Maryann Budash, Cathy Budash, Vicki Galish (Larry), Rose Kerekes; and brother, Tom Budash (Lois); nephews, Jason Kerekes (Melissa), Jeremy Galish (Karin); nieces, Kelly Guyton, Carrie Ferris (Nelson); great-nieces and nephews, Eliza, Luke and Beau Ferris, Abby, Makenna and Payton Galish, Kayla and Brady Guyton, Sophia and Sydney Kerekes. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Debbie Kline; and son, Justin Budash; and his good friends, Greg Havelka and Tammy Gillis.

In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was his brother Charles, who passed away in 2017; and his beloved dog and friend, Tuco.

The family would like to thank the staff at Premier Washington Health Center and Heartland Home Health and Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness.

To honor Woogie’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.
