Raselyn K. Johnson

Rev. Raselyn K. Johnson, 66, of Saxonburg, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born November 18, 1954, in Washington, she was a daughter of Melvin Rasel Johnson and Carrie Mae King Johnson.

Raselyn served as pastor at Midland Presbyterian, New Salem Presbyterian Church in Ohioville, West Deer Presbyterian Church and was a long-time member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Washington.

She was an avid supporter of the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.

As a pastor, her sermons often included her extraordinary gift of singing.

Surviving are three brothers, Melvin Johnson of Greeneville, Tenn., Stephen Johnson of Saxonburg and Dan (Cynthia) Johnson of Sahuarita, Ariz.; her sister-in-law, Karen Johnson of Saxonburg; her nieces and nephews, Brenda, Barbara, Beverly, Sean, Joel, Amy and Heather; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law Elaine; and her best friend, Penny.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, in St. John’ Reformed Church, 493 Evans City Road, Butler.

Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
