Audie L. Whipkey

Audie L. Whipkey, 71, of Waynesburg, died at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2021, in the Transitions Healthcare in Washington.

He was born Wednesday, February 1, 1950 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Leroy “Royal” Whipkey and Mary E. Kight Whipkey.

Audie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where he was the organist for 49 years. He always enjoyed playing in the local organ concerts, watching birds and music.

He was a graduate of Mt. Vernon College. At one time he had worked as an EMS and was the dispatcher in Waynesburg.

Surviving are 2 Sisters, Norma Phillips, of Waynesburg, and Alvina Areford, of Rogersville; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are 3 Brothers, Millard Whipkey, Hillard H. Whipkey, and Guy B. Whipkey.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of the service, Wednesday, November 3, in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner / Director, 197 N. Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with Rev. John Poling officiating.

Burial will be in Enon Cemetery, Richhill Township, Greene County.
