Thomas Richard Eisert

Thomas Richard Eisert, 78, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, in Fairfield Medical Center. Tom was born in Washington, September 26, 1943, to the late William Eisert and Janet Eisert, now 100 years alive!

He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, and Germain School of Photography in New York. His career in industrial photography took him to many states, and he worked freelance for many years, after his retirement from American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio.

Tom also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for six years.

Tom was a passionate and competitive sailor and served in several positions of the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club Board including Commodore.

He was also a motorcycle, car, fishing and music enthusiast and had a beautiful voice. Tom sang at his daughter’s wedding and for many years with bands singing Doo-Wop songs. He started singing on the corners as a paperboy. One of Tom’s greatest memories was being at the Woodstock Festival in 1969. He returned there on the 50 Anniversary.

Tom was a resident of Reflections Retirement Community for the past three years, after selling his home in Pickerington. He lived in Lancaster from 1979-1995. He attended Unity East Church in Pickerington.

He is survived by his two children, Robin (Rich) Risbon of Lancaster, Ohio, and Ryan (Alison Gorsuch) Eisert of Columbus, Ohio; two grandsons, Trent and Cole Lindsay; mother, Janet Eisert of Washington; brother, Dave (Shirley) Eisert of Strasburg, Va.; sisters, Tina Crino and Mary Hann, both of Washington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, William J. Eisert and a brother, Ronald Eisert.

Much gratitude to Dr. Romaker, his doctor for 42 years!! And to the staff of Reflections for their diligent care for Tom and Woodstock, his cat.

Caring Cremation has taken place by the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Lancaster, OH 43130.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Washington at a later date.

Memorial gifts in Tom’s name can be given to the Fairfield Area Humane Society, 1721 Granville Pike, Lancaster, OH 43130.
