Betty “Nunnie” Cargnello, 94, of Houston, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 11, 2021, in her home, with her family at her side. She was born April 1, 1927, in Morgantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Benjamin and Constance Mazza Andy.

Mrs. Cargnello was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, traveling, camping, playing cards, square dancing and spending time with friends and family. Her family meant everything to her. They were her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

On July 29, 1950, she married Albert M. Cargnello, who died May 18, 2010.

Surviving are a son, Albert L. Cargnello of Washington; two daughters, Doreen A. (Arthur) Nall of Houston, Texas, and Delaine (John) Giecek of Avella; six grandchildren, John David Rohrbacher, Jennifer Brewer, Jessica Yeates, Ashley (Andrew) Simmons, Erica (Jeff) Monoskey and Ryan (Val) Cargnello; 10 great-grandchildren, Addison, Heidi, Eddie, Emma, Track, Ellie, Kellan, Peyton, Eva and Josie. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cargnello was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

All funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor / director, Holly Renay Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Park N. Crosier, director.
