James Folkens
James Folkens, 74, of Washington, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, with family by his side.
Jim was born May 5, 1947, in Sewickley, a beloved son of the late Albert and Madelyn Risbin Folkens Jr.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Knights of Columbus and an Oblate of St. Benedict affiliated with St. Vincent Archabbey.

He earned his BS from University of Miami and MS from Florida International University, Miami, Fla., and for several years worked as director of finance for PVA in Washington, DC.
Jim served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division, and in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. He was awarded three bronze stars and two purple heart medals. He was a lifetime member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans organizations.
An avid hunter and trap shooter, he was a lifetime member of Trap Shooter Association of America.
He will be deeply missed by his sister, Sara Godley; nephew, James (Leslie) Godley, and their twin boys, Timothy and William; as well as many relatives and friends.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 14, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
A funeral cortege will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 15, and proceed to Immaculate Conception Church for a 10 a.m. Requiem Mass, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
The family has requested that visitors please wear a facial covering.
